Helping families with children that have life-threatening medical conditions is our mission. We help a lot of families and because we do, we are continuously having various events to raise the funds that allow us to help many children that are medically-fragile. As a result, we are always welcoming new and returning volunteers to help us. We would be so honored to have you join us in our mission!
You are very welcome to join any of our fundraisers but I do want to highlight one committee that will be starting and that is our Let’s Dance for the Heart of it! We are changing our Dance Kick-Off Meeting from Tuesday, June 23, to Thursday, June 4th, and everyone is welcome to join us! This will take place at the Aubrey Rose Foundation office located at 3862 Race Road in Bridgetown (westside of Cincinnati).
Please click here to let us know you will be joining us. It’s a wonderful group of people that have the same mission in mind … putting smiles on the faces of many children and their families and while we’re all doing this, we are having a great time too. WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Here is a letter from a family that the Aubrey Rose Foundation has helped. We continue to receive letters like this one which only makes us want to help more families.
Dear Aubrey Rose Foundation,
I just received the most wonderful letter in the mailbox from the Aubrey Rose Foundation! Thank you so very much for your generosity of paying for our daughter’s hospital bill!! I was completely overwhelmed, as was my husband and daughter.
We’re so grateful for your kindness and look very much forward to continuing to pay it forward with all of the volunteer work our family does. As I come in contact with other families with children with special needs, I will be sure to pass along your information if anyone is in need. Bless you for taking your experience with sweet Aubrey Rose and turning it into a blessing for so many others … Kindest regards.
The purpose of Writely Sew is serving schools, fraternities, sororities, and any kind of business, as well as other non-profit organizations with embroidery, ink to garment embellishments and promotional products in order to save them some precious funds.
In addition, we will be developing a line of children’s medical clothing with each piece having a tag that will tell Aubrey Hollenkamp’s story of her journey through open-heart surgeries and a heart and double lung transplant. What better way of telling her story to help children and their families than having it attached to kids clothing!

PURSES 4 A PURPOSE
What’s in your closet? Our goal is to collect tons of new or gently-used designer handbags to sell at our event on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. To donate your new or gently-used handbag(s), you can email us to arrange pick up.
We have a new location with it being at Covington Catholic High School in Park Hills, Kentucky. Q102 is sponsoring this event again this year and Remke’s and Hagedorn Appliances are our drop off site for the purses. Jeff Thomas Catering will provide our food for the evening – it’s going to be a great time!
AUBREY OPEN GOLF OUTING
Our golf outing turned out to be a very special day. The “Aubrey Open”, on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Aston Oaks Golf Course, began with a very patriotic touch with a sky diver from Team Fastrax, who landed with the American Flag. We had the Green Township VFW Color Guard who performed along with Danielle and Emily from McAuley High School’s Choral Group … it was more than wonderful to have these 2 talented young ladies sing the National Anthem and it was timed perfectly for when the flag landed, the girls ended their singing!
After that, we had two tandem jumpers land into our golf outing. Molly Watson from Q102 was one of the jumpers and the other one was Larry Kilgore, a friend of the Aubrey Rose Foundation. These two picture perfect landings occurred and then Larry and Mollie tee’d it up to start the golf outing.
The outing turned out to be a wonderful day and the weather held out! We were able to raise enough funds to secure the 2015 Scholarship Program through the Aubrey Rose Foundation and also help families with children who have life-threatening medical conditions.
Thank you to all who participated in and volunteered for the Aubrey Open Golf Outing and our auction and dinner!
AMERICAN GIRL FASHION SHOW
We cannot begin to thank you all of those who made the 2015 American Girl Fashion Show to benefit the Aubrey Rose Foundation a success! We want to especially thank the parents and our models who worked so hard raising funds for the foundation and we would also like to give special thanks to our dedicated volunteers who put in enormous hours helping us with making the American Girl Fashion Show the success that it was! The proceeds will go to help those children who need medical attention, equipment and medicine.
We cannot wait until next year! Put our Model Calls on your calendar for January 2016 and sign up for our newsletter to be sure you don’t miss a thing. Go to http://aubreyrose.org/ to sign up!

Please remember us in your Will or Living Trust
Having a will or living trust allows you to protect the people you love most even after you’re gone. What you may not realize is that these documents also offer the opportunity to continue your support for the Aubrey Rose Foundation. Here are a couple of common questions about using your will or trust to make a gift, along with helpful answers.
Q. HOW DO I MAKE MY GIFT?
A. The process for making a provision in your will or trust for the Aubrey Rose Foundation is easy. Start by contacting us to request official wording for the gift. Then ask your estate planning attorney to include the wording when you create your will or trust. If you already have a will or trust, simply ask your attorney to draft a codicil or an amendment to the existing document.
Q. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
A. As mentioned above, a gift in your will or trust is easy to complete. Some other benefits include the following:
- You can leave assets without worry about whether you will need them to live on, because you won’t actually be giving them away until after your lifetime.
- There are a number of ways to make your gift-you can give a specific item, an amount of money, a gift contingent upon certain events, or a percentage of your estate.
- Your estate is entitled to an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction for gifts to the Aubrey Rose Foundation.
Q. WHY SHOULD I DO THIS?
A. No one plans on becoming ill or having a child with a life-threatening illness. These things just happen and can throw a family into an extremely difficult situation. But with planning you can allow The Aubrey Rose Foundation, to assist those families who really need some help. Because of your gift, in your estate planning, we are able to lift some of the heavy burden that comes with situations like this. Because of you, we can make life just a little easier for someone in their time of need.
Our mission is to help families caring for children with life threatening illness, with our focus on being the family unit. As a supporter of the Aubrey Rose Foundation, you are already part of our “family”. With your continued support, through your estate planning, you will guarantee that we will continue our mission for years to come.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and double lungs!
