Hello Everyone,
It's hard to believe it's time for our Aubrey's Open Golf Outing on the 17th! We welcome all who haven't signed up for this event to come and join us either in golf or afterwards for our wonderful silent auction and dinner. If you never played in this outing before, it's really a fun time and for your money, you will get a lot. We realize that not everyone is a golfer and so we welcome you to just come for the Texas Roadhouse dinner and maybe you'll be able to have the winning bid on some great auction items.
We're also getting ready to give out our 2009 Scholarships to kind-hearted individuals who took the time to write an essay and tell us how they have given back to their community not because they had to but because they did it out of the kindness of their hearts.
And speaking of graduations, we're very proud that our oldest daughter, Carly, will be graduating from University of Cincinnati next month. That's hard to believe that's she's old enough to be a senior in college. Oh how time flies... it's just like yesterday that she was a baby in my arms! We're very, very proud of her for her degree in Family Studies.
We're also very proud of the many volunteers that we have with the Foundation and we welcome all of you out there who would like to join in. We're going to be having the kick-off for our Dance Committee and we are welcoming you to join us. It's a great group of people who want to pitch in and help to make our November 13 Dance at the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza a success. We're very excited about our new venue and very open to having you join our planning committee. Please send me an email about your desire to join us and I'll respond with the details to you.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and double lungs for your support, your kindness and most of all your belief in the Foundation!Jerry, Nancy, Carly, Spencer and Saint Aubrey Hollenkamp

The American Girl Fashion Show was a huge success this year and we have a lot of people to thank for this. First and foremost is Margo Jokovich who coordinates many of the details to help with putting this event on. We also have the volunteers who help us with the models and who have worked with the girls through the auditions, fittings and photo shoots, rehearsals and the shows themselves, with merchandise, our auction, registration and every where at our event to make it such a success. We would like to thank our commentators, Olivia Meinhardt and Emily Maly and also Emily Delman and Hannah Zimmerman – both sets of girls did a marvelous job.
We also wanted to thank our different sponsors that we had and the booth sponsors as well. It was wonderful to have Toyota as our major sponsor again this year along with Fidelity Investments and Lookout Joe’s Coffee. It was super having Chick fil A and Krogers/Chef’s Choice who did our food for the shows! We also loved having H. J. Benken’s Florist back again for our 6th show. They always make our venue look so beautiful and the fragrance was wonderful! We want to thank Little Rascals Photography again this year for taking the magnificent pictures of our models – they always do amazing work! We would also like to thank Cincy Chic, The Cookie Crumb, Meyer Dairy, John Casablanca’s and MTM as well. We truly appreciate each and everyone of these vendors for their belief in what we do and for their support!
We also would like to thank our booth sponsors - Planet Jill, Bugaboodles, Tastefully Simple, NuSkin Anti Aging, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Designs by Jillis, and Thirty-One Gifts.
With the American Girl Fashion Show fundraiser, our Foundation was able to reach our goal of raising $100,000 which will enable us to help many children with life-threatening medical conditions. We are so thankful for all of our models, their families and friends and the general community for all of their support in helping us reach our goal.

We are in the graduation mode of our Foundation right now. We are getting ready to give out our scholarships to individuals who took the time to write an essay for us. Our criteria is for 8th graders who are going on to Catholic high school education in the archdiocese of Cincinnati. We promise 25 scholarships but we have been known to give out more. We present our scholarships at the schools' graduations or award ceremonies with parents in attendance. The reason for this is so that parents can see their child being rewarded for this kindness and caring! Our scholarships are not based on academics nor athletics but rather how good of a child they are and this needs to be recognized.
This year we started a Junior Scholarship Board. This Junior Scholarship Board will be headed up by Anthony Buford, ARF Board Member and will consist of former scholarship recipients who have stayed active with Aubrey’s Foundation. This Junior Scholarship Board will oversee the applications coming in for the 25 scholarships that Aubrey’s Foundation gives out every year. This year our Junior members are Brian Jacob and Mike Staud.
We will be having a Scholarship Reception on June 10 to celebrate these scholarships.
Racin' at Ronnie's
was a huge hit with a packed house and fun things for the kids to do.
We have a slew of wonderful volunteers who came to help us with this dinner
and we even had 3 female race car drivers who donned their race suits to come
visit the families. These dinners are so special not only for the families
living at Ronald McDonald House but for our volunteers as well. I think everyone
walks away with a smile on their face and that's our goal!!
If you would like to join our future dinners, please send Nancy an email.
Village Green Update and Thank you
What a wonderful event this was... This festive celebration is supported by Village Green Apartment residents and associates from their fifteen region-wide apartment communities who enthusiastically collect pledges to take a plunge into their chilly pool for a local charity’s benefit. This year Village Green chose the Aubrey Rose Foundation to benefit from this wonderful event.
We truly thank Village Green Company and their vendors, residents and friends who supported this beautiful event with their generosity.
